Finance & Property Research Pty Ltd are Australian Property Investment Consultants who have a background of specialising in the analysis and presentation of real estate and business proposals both for existing property as well as development property, including valuations.

If required, this involves a briefing re property requirements, sourcing, screening of property and analysis of options. This can be followed by negotiating the sale, finance acquisition, and project management through to completion.

Outside our immediate locality we co-opt the assistance of a number of associates in the property industry.

With the assistance of advanced software, we can analyse varying finance and tax options on a before and after tax/loans basis. We are also engaged to provide strategies and valuation advice for owners who are selling property.

Property Consulting Experience & Background

1964 - 1988:
Kerry was a senior specialist with the State Bank on the field staff. Work included the assessment of rural and commercial finance applications etc.

After working in many areas of NSW, Kerry was based at Tamworth as Regional Valuer, responsible for administering Field Staff in the North of the State. This included technical support areas and evaluation for corporate lending purposes including the cotton industry.

1988 – 1998:
Kerry resigned from the above to commence private practice as a Finance & Property Consultant, trading as Kerry Thomas & Assoc. Pty. Ltd., based in Tamworth.

Work included specialised valuations together with a Loan Appraisal Service doing contract work for Banks and Institutions wishing to evaluate specialised business and property loan proposals.

Other consulting work included business plans and finance procuration. Due diligence reports were prepared for rural investment vehicles.

A Property Acquisition Service involved the sourcing selection, negotiation and procurement of property for private and institutional investors.

1998–2000:
Director – Queensland based Venture Capital Company, involving finance raising & property development.

This also included resident Project Manager for a 400ha Vineyard development of which 125ha was planted, managed and onsold.

2000-Present:
Kerry then set up his own company, Finance & Property Research Pty. Ltd. to research investments in Rural and Regional Australia as well as introducing country investment into the City and Coastal areas.
